Who We Are

For over 20 years, Jim Cline Photo Tours has led specialized, small-group photography tours. Our photographic journeys are designed to take participants to unique, engaging locations at the optimal times for photography. We’ve helped more than 2,000 photographers—from beginners to pros—create fantastic, often award-winning images. By traveling at a slower pace than typical tours, we offer time to connect with local people and truly understand each culture. Our thoughtfully designed itineraries ensure culturally sensitive encounters, resulting in memorable interactions wherever we travel.

We believe Jim Cline Photo Tours truly stands apart. Each tour is crafted with photographers’ needs in mind, and in many of the places we visit, our trip leaders have long-standing relationships with local families, vendors, boat captains, school principals, and others. These connections open doors to experiences and access that would be difficult to find on your own or with larger groups.

We also keep our tours intentionally small—just 9 or 10 participants. This way we can guarantee our guests a more rewarding and fulfilling experience. By doing this, our tour leaders are able to give personal attention to each participant, and we can stay flexible, adjusting plans as opportunities arise. Smaller groups mean less time organizing and more time photographing, with easier, more meaningful interactions with the people we meet along the way.
